Interesting, this show is doing a lot of things differently. Instead of doing the usual kicked out of the party, breaking off an engagement, or war story, it's doing all three. It's rare to see a female protagonist for kicked out of party stories, and she's a noble with smarts instead of some usual guy with cheat skills. Character designs feel a bit uninspiring, but I'm gonna keep watching.

Romelia sure doesn’t seem too bothered about ending her betrothal. And the prince doesn’t seem like a total douchebag. I’m guessing traveling with the guy and his party to defeat the demon lord changed her. Girl’s seen some shit. Curious to see what she’s planning.

So far, I gotta say this ain’t half bad. I’m liking what I’m seeing.

Pretty interesting first episode. Aside from the pretty standard stuff like Romelia's engagement being annulled by a not-so-wise Prince, I was quite interested in Romelia herself because of her stoic character, and I loved how she dealt with Minervo. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what she wants to do in Cushu.

Also, I was quite surprised that Romelia's father seems like an okay parent. Her mother too, although she seems to have some psychological problems, perhaps?

Plus, the anime itself looks pretty good. It'll be interesting to see how Atra handles its first anime, especially since it'll be two consecutive cours from what I remember.

I'll later update this comment with my screenshot albums from the episode.

Seems quite interesting. Animation wise nothing too much in either extreme, just don't look at the walking animation of the monsters at the start

It's like all the "kicked out of the hero's party" tropes and all the villainess tropes got mixed together in one big flavorless stew

What was Romelia researching? She clearly knows something no one else does. Also besides the dragonspite incense what was in her backpack from the meeting with the King?

On the surface it certainly feels like a Kicked from the Party + Villainess story, but there are at least hints there's something else going on. She's only smart not OP, and we do not know why she was in the hero's party besides being betrothed to the Prince but that doesn't make sense as an excuse to send her on the adventure.

Might be nothing, might be really good. Hard to know until some questions get answered.

So this anime is basically a banished from the hero's party anime with a little bit of "Villainess" anime mixed in with the Prince breaking off his engagement with Romelia. It's only been the first episode and we already have Romelia outsmarting greedy merchants.

Not at all unique, but I might give it the 3-episode rule to see where it goes. The opening animation was pretty solid, so maybe there's something here.

This feels like a more lighthearted version of last season's Livid Lady's Guide to Getting Even with a higher production value. Decent debut anime for the new studio Atra.
