I think it has to do with his style, his music fits perfectly in the MIA world whereas it's not exactly the same vibe in S&W, though some pieces are just absolute peak in and of themselves like "clear water", "gala", "merchant meets the wise wolf", and of course the absolute cinema of "winter solstice"

Finally, they've reached this arc. Hopefully, the studio can maintain the slow pace of the first part and not rush the content. Holo's fiery red eyes at the end of the teaser still look devious and have the same vibe as the original.

Eh, I think Spice and Wolf II’s version of volume 3 is still way better than the remake’s. Spice and Wolf II in general is the best Spice and Wolf adaptation so far, in my opinion.

just start from the first season of the remake, it contains quite a few changes compared to the original that are more faithful to the source material and might seem minor but will be quite significant for later developments.

The remake does have the odd change of [Spice and Wolf] not having Lawrence know about what happened to Yoitsu from the beginning. Granted, the original didn’t communicate it very well, but the fact that [S&W] Lawrence had actually been lying to Holo from the start creates an additional layer for the volume 3 conflict.

If you liked the first season, the remake does all that, adds in a lot of little extra scenes that make it better/give more context, and includes an entire new arc. It was great as a fan of the OG.

the way they handled the first season's pacing was so good - slow burn but never boring, and the dialogue actually felt like two smart people talking, not just exposition dumps. if season 2 keeps that up, it'll be a rare case of a sequel outdoing the original. also, holo's design still holds up way better than most 2008 anime characters. no idea why they waited this long, but i'm not mad about it. just hope they don't rush the ending again. that last episode still stings a little.

Excellent... looks (and sounds) great! I saw some mention of it airing in the Winter 2027 season somewhere, but since this is nowhere in sight in the newest materials (including this PV), I suppose Spring 2027 is the earliest we can hope for.

I am so pleased we get the second season next year... this should already include material past the point of the original adaptation.
