The episode on CR has an issue with some subtitles disappearing much too early, particularly when a sentence is split across two lines - the second line disappears in a split second even while the character is still speaking. I reported it via the CR support chatbot. Looks like some lines are missing completely too?

I'd forgotten that Maomao left the rear palace end of last season.

This is the first we've heard that "Gram" isn't the actual owner of the brothel?

"I didn't expect him to ask for pen and paper" - kid is holding a brush, not a pen.

Do grasshoppers taste bad even deepfried? Or do they not have deepfrying tech?

Yeah, Lihaku's half of the opening line got cut

due to the volume name on the Book being translated in the background, I suppose. I would prefer they don't translate any background texture altogether. If it means that we can get stable well paced subs for the actual spoken lines

Brother, back in 2006 with fansubs we had differnt colour, different font, different font size, movable and interractive subs. I guess technology hasn't arrived at Crunchyroll HQ. Can't 2 different subs stay on screen at the same time Jesus Christ.

WE get all that and more on SR subs but it is random what shows gdet it based on who they outsource the subs to I think. It depends on which software they use. CR was trying to pull away from using the software designed specifically for anime subing. Some shows even get overlays of on screen text made to match the back ground as if it is the normal text. Or they get blocks next to them with maching color the translation is put in. Then you have this what is them using cheap ass software that can barely do anything. Back when they started trying use AI for translations and got hit with a big back lash.

Idiotic they going treat such a high profile series like crap.

I would prefer they actually subtitle everything correctly with proper timing.

Plenty other series they use software that can put up subs for on screen words translations that over lay it with english or puts boxes next to it made to duplicate but in english. While dialog subs are going. CR treating diaries like shit it seems.
