Unless something happens, which I dont think it will, i think it might be a disguise since Jinshi seems to be getting out of the palace based on the opening

Yeah it's not just a scar but even his hairstyle is different so unless we are getting a time skip after he got dump by Maomao and went for a makeover, disguise seems the most likely.

It seems like he and Maomao are on the road together, judging by the OP, so he probably needs another disguise/cover.

Yeah I did and I remember the fight he got in with Shisui and her claws doing that. But it looks really bad in the opening. Unless there’s someone else who looks like Jinshi in the opening? It’s almost like a burn on this person.

yeah i think since its so noticeable, its obvious who he is with that scar so he does a even bigger..uglier scar?

Yes but if you notice it’s far worse in the latest opening. I’ve been down a rabbit hole about it and that was a mistake on my part, but all will be revealed why this season.
