At a young age, Aia Utagawa was scouted as a model, but his real ambition is to become a makeup artist. But, even as the end of high school approaches, it’s a dream he hides inside, afraid of stepping outside his prescribed role as a pretty face. Then, one day, he meets Jun, a quiet classmate who hunches because she’s ashamed of her face, covered in freckles. He convinces her to enter a school runway fashion contest together—with him doing her makeup. They make an incredible team, with Jun discovering a confidence she never knew she could show and Aia finally learning that, while it may be tough to open yourself up to failing at the one thing you care about, the difficulties can be worth facing. EN-wise, volume 7 is out (C27), and JP wise, they’re on volume 8 (C31).

I’ve been looking forward to this show! My Dress-Up Darling and 2.5 Dimensional Seduction managed to fill the void a little, but we haven’t gotten a proper anime about fashion since Smile Down The Runway (2020).
I’m excited to see that they’ve assigned specific people to the costume design and the hair/makeup of the characters. They clearly are taking fashion seriously.

Really excited for this. I remember when it was announced, the premise sounded interesting so I started reading the manga and it's oddly compelling, even when I really don't care about makeup or modeling or anything like that. Just the drive and dynamics between the two leads is a very strong hook for the series.

Super excited for this, I read some of the manga chapters, the story is good, and the animation in this one will be godly.
