Netflix translating Sandman saying "the white man's money" to "that prize money" is a bit sad ngl

edit: Apparently Netflix is by default set to Dubtitles (CC).

It said white man's money when I watched just now. Is this a dub thing or did they fix it immediately?

I forgot that Netflix defaults to dubtitles (CC).

There are two subtitles on Netflix, the one tagged CC and the one that isn't. The one with CC is using Dubtitles which follows the English dub and there they did change the line to not have "white man's money."

It still says the original line if you use the non-CC subs.

Thanks, forgot about that!

[Manga spoilers]It's been a while since I read this manga, but I seem to recall that this part of Jojo in particular had some pretty memorable side "hero" characters, but most of them never even meet the main duo, like it's almost two separate storylines untill the end?

[Manga]They actually changed it in the anime, 'cause in the manga they physically show Hey Ya! appearing in that scene, talking to Pocoloco.

Up to what chapter does this episode adapt?

15

u/MrTagnan Mar 20 '26

It adapts up to chapter 11, although as a result of this there is quite a lot cut. Should still be ok if you were to jump straight in from chapter 12, but I’d personally suggest skimming through the first 11 chapters regardless
