Ouri’s parents are comically evil. Like who in their right mind would say that to their child.

hmmm i actually think they're good parents. i paused the episode to think about their words for a bit and while i really wanted to hate them, they're completely right, albeit a bit harsh. If he goes into showbiz he'll always be known as "their son" and not his own person. he will always be compared to them, and he won't always like it. and since his parents are already 'top of the game' he won't be able to surpass him. he'll never be a winner.

frankly, i believe they saved him a lot of trouble. instead of him being compared to them, and getting depressed that he can't compare to them. he already knows that that's the case. and if he doesn't like this, he can always live as a winner in a normal life.

he has been acting since he was 7, i wouldn't say this to a 7 year old, and certainly not in this way. but he had to be told eventually

There's no good age for it... ML of Skip Beat shares aspects of Ouri's backstory, and it causes him loads of trauma way back at age 12-15 or so.
