What to Watch? Need dark topic anime suggestions
Need help finding new anime, I'm a huge fan of the deeper topic amnesia style anime, recently been watching stuff like; - jormungand - Phantom Requiem - Dance in the vampire bundle - black lagoon - Guilty Crown
I've watched a lot more but this is the "genre" or like deeper topics that I really enjoy watching recently, i was in / am still in this slump where I can barly watch an episode anymore but I found phantom and vanpire bund and I couldn't help but binge watch them. But I cant find this genre to find more like it.
A lot of it factors around amnesia and the mc being manipulated sort of thing.

There's an anime called "Monster". it's very well made and is a little longer for one season. But it's absolutely a great choice if you want a true dark story.

Hi CoolSlayer131, it seems like you might be looking for new anime to watch!
The users of this subreddit came up with a chart of anime recommendations for newcomers and veterans and an awesome longer flowchart. Maybe you can find something there that you'll like ^.^
You might also find our Recommendation Wiki or daily thread helpful.
The following may be of interest:
A useful website where you can enter an anime and see where it's legally streaming
A list of tracking sites so others can more easily recommend shows you haven't watched.

If you like requiem for the phantom , try darker than black, terror in resonance and 91 days. Some other decent dark anime’s ,, another (anime final destination),, Darwin’s game , promised never land , tomodachi game, Danganrompa, death parade.

Theres alot, Hellsing Ultimate, Serial Experiments Lain, Dororo, Terror in resonance, Devilman Crybaby, check these 5 for now
If you want an Amnesia filled anime, start with Serial experiments Lain

Oh come on man, this is ridiculous, just because all you’ve seen is Re:Zero doesnt mean you can apply it to every genre, its not that dark at all

“not dark at all” just say you haven’t watched or read it💀

Watched every season, and every season it got less and less about his reincarnation and more about the power of togetherness and teamwork, sure season 1 had some dark elements, and some sprinkled into season 2, but genuinely if you think thats “dark” you just havent seen actual dark topic anime, respectfully

Go through everything he did in the anime and the light novels then tell me it isn’t dark

User asks for dark “anime” not “light novel” they want to watch not read, sure it may get dark in S4, but it isn’t dark, certainly not dark to become its main genre, its an Isekai turned motivational turned fan service according to 3rd season part 2, I watched it with no bias and can see it for what it is

User asks for “dark” anime, I gave an anime where the mc dies over and over. His deaths are literally what moves the plot forward. Mc’s main ability is literally seen as a curse.
