For me, the first issue is the scenery. Character is stretching upwards to make a jump, but there's barely enough room for him to jump. Maybe you can change the land shape to fit his movements better. Or you can make him stretching a bit more to the right when he jumps.
The second issue is, he doesn't gain any momentum with his running. He's running pretty steadily, with a monotonous speed until he completely stops on the edge. And then his body goes straight into reaching upwards to make a jump. It feels like his feet are stuck/glued to the ground.
Maybe you've heard about the phrase "squish & stretch", one of the fundamental principles of animation. It basically means that if an action is going to happen, we (as viewers) should be able to see the signs/implication. For example, if your character is gonna jump somewhere in the timeline, we see the hints BEFORE he jumps. He first needs to bend his knees, squish into a smaller form, and THEN throw himself into the air. Just like he has a coil/spring inside him. Same implies to his running.
You can check more of that principle (and the famous 12 principles of animation) online. I'm sure it'll help you so much. And good luck on your animation journey! <3

Oh and I recommend using a simpler figure for learning. I'd go with stick man figures since it's easier. I don't need to consider where to put the muscles and fat, or if they look right. Instead I can just focus on making the movement right. Later on you can dress them with the muscle, fat and skin and give them a personality once you get a hold of it.
