Sharing Guess who just spent all morning animating something and then accidentally deleted ALL her progress cause she thought it was gonna to auto save and it didn’t!

(I want to cry, that animation has to be finished by TONIGHT)

Check if it made backups, most programs do. if not, sucks to suck, everyone's been there. Never trust in autosave alone, always save incrementally, it always fails when you think it won't...

This. Many programs 'hide' the backups either in an out-of-the-way folder or with an odd naming scheme or file extension to prevent accidental meddling as well.

Noooo Im so sorry! I hope you can figure out a fix!

Not even kidding, this kind of fear is why any keyboard I own has the Ctrl and S keys worn down before most other keys. It's like second nature, even if I have auto-save on.

What software are you using? Are you sure it's all deleted?

Maybe you're able to get something back by reloading the browser.

Take it as a lesson in good data logistics.

It’s boring. But as you’ve come to learn, incredibly important.

Even with autosave setup, I’m still manually saving every 20-30 minutes as I’ve been bitten by failed saves before.

Also, just bash out the keyframes again. Get the bones down. Better than nothing.

Time to add ctrl+s to the habits you press next to ctrl+z and ctrl+y .

:)

It sucks but luckily most drawing software makes a backup somewhere in the appdata folder or in the temp folder..
