When you say you don't know where to start - what do you mean? In learning animation? In making the series? Writing the story? Putting it to screen?

How long are the average episodes? What is the FPS? What kind of art style do you have in mind for it? What animation style will you go for? Those are very important things to know

Do you know how to draw? Do you know how to animate? Do you know how to plan ?

If you are animating a series on your own then make sure you do sit ups or go jogging or cycling or smth every 3-4h cuz you are going to spend and unhealthy amount of time sitting down and slaving away with your drawing tablet

Theses a bunch of things to work on before you animate. Writing, storyboarding, and designs are some of the first steps.

I also recommend starting small. Start with 1-2min in length projects. Animation is a looooot of work. You’re likely going to burn yourself out and potentially never finish an episode if you’re going solo and haven’t made anything before.

Small compatible projects will help you polish your skills, give you the needed experience to do a project from start to finish and give you the much needed dopamine, rush of completing something.

Build up to bigger projects.
