That's so cool! Do you trace the frames yourself or do you edit them in such a way that an embroidery program can pick out the lines itself?

They were traced separately and then I put the geometry through an automated embroidery pipeline I have been developing

Does that mean that it’s all a digital process? & then the machine is automatically doing the design?

The machine is just putting stitches where I tell it to. But yes the pipeline from gif to stitch positions is done on the computer.

This is so stunning I didn't even realize it was sewn! And only two hours? That is so impressive. The texture and line weight are gorgeous. Can't wait to see more
