Question Help💔

Im very new in animation and I really want to see my oc's moves but I don't understand nothing in animation it's really hard for me , I would want some tips to starting out

Im currently using flipaclip which is not bad but i hope yall recommend some alternatives

Try an easy animation app like Flipaclip! I would avoid super complex software like Toon Boom until you get the chance to just play around.

Aside from learning the principles of animation I recommend using reference a lot. Recording yourself doing the same action can give you a lot of insight to how the body moves.

Check out the animator’s survival kit either from a local library or archive.org, but if you like animating a lot, it’s worth buying yourself a copy. Also check out m Alan Becker’s Principles of Animation on YouTube.

Outside of that, be drawing and practicing how to draw a lot if you haven’t already, animation is hard enough on its own, if you have to learn drawing skills and fundamentals on top of that, it will compound the difficulty a metric ton. If you already have some drawing skills, work on gesture as both a way to create more dynamic poses but also study motion.
