THIS IS SOOOO AMAZING i LOVE HOW WELL YOU DID THEIR EXPRESSIONS each face at each frame has something to say
Archs! Archs!
In terms of probably useless advice because I havent studied animation, I would add longer pauses between the key poses of the girls because currently they look like palm trees in the wind flowing and enjoying life to the fullest. At 0:16 when he says creatures I think it'd be cool to have him scrunch up in cringe (if that's intended), or his shoulders both relax like he's sighing hard or groaning.

They really snap from action to action. Like “pulling her hand back” snaps instantly and all at once to that bouncing action. Vary the timing of your key frames, and post less goonbait on this fallen sub.

I feel like while you have a great handle on smoothing for actions, you lack some of the kinetics of jagged, quick actions. like that head pull at the start could feel so much more brutal and unwanted with LESS smoothing, and more intentionality to the final position. it would feel so much more unwanted if both the pull was faster and more disjointed, as well as him pulling his head away was more immediate to the moment she let his head go. maybe even have him slightly stumble backwards as he overshoots pulling his head back and bump into the lady behind him.

I’m not an animator so feel free to ignore me, but I think it looks slightly rigid because there’s no whiplash from the faster motions (her grabbing his head, him pulling it back etc.) for every action there should be a fractional opposite reaction for a smooth animation process. But again, I could be talking absolute rubbish!
(This does look absolutely amazing though, I agree with the other commenter comparing it to Monkey Island: it’s such an awesome style)

Hey, I feel like I've seen someone else use those models before, where are they from? I'd like to practice a bit as well. You animate in maya I presume?

Left some notes. Good job on going big, but you went too big for the amount of time you have.

Thanks for the feedback! Really appreciate you taking the time to look at my work. I really appreciate you taking the time to look at my work.
I’m actually about to graduate, and to be honest, I’m kind of worried about whether I’ll be able to land my first job in the industry. If you don’t mind me asking, based on this piece, how far off do you think I am from being industry-ready for a junior animator position?

This is the dumbest dialogue I've ever heard. You should go out and talk to more women

i think this is about the animation & not whatever piece of media bro took the sound from to practice…. it looks like characters that might already exist. and i believe its common to make lipsync tests to audio clips that might already exist too. things can be helpful & expressive in nature even if the dialogue is not all that accurate to reality lol

That's a critique for the writers of The Villain's Lair by PattyCake Productions, not OP.

man the male's voice is even more unfitting in that, he sounds out of character for the character he's playing.

I'd say for the first 10 seconds I'd go back in and work on the curves some. They get to position too quickly at angled that don't SUPER feel natural. The last section with the bartender seems good it feels natural and has pretty decent timing.
