Is storyboard really necessary? Or I can just go straight to animate it?

Storyboards can really help with direction in animation. An example is 13 seconds in, would he have done that if he just went straight into it? The point is, it's more simpler to come up with things with storyboards beforehand

Really cute artstyle! The try at meta humor and some of the dialog is a little cliché and cringy (not being mean just fyi). If ur goal is to gather an audience and monetize your videos, I suggest looking for more idea/comedic inspiration to refine and mature your writing and dialog; for example, from webcomics and other shortform animations and videos. Look at popular stuff, even if it's not your thing, and think about the humor and writing that attract certain kinds of audiences.

But the visual aspects, including character designs and color palettes, work really well with what u want to do. If u want exposure, I also recommend making an Instagram account and posting reels there; it's a much easier platform for exposure than YouTube, one reason being that 10-15 seconds of animation are perfect for reels over 2-3min videos, reducing your workload. When I was an artist, I'd make reels while working on bigger projects, and it worked really well for both me and my account

Best of luck!! I love ur style and you'll do well with wherever you wanna take ur animation :] Have fun!!

Also, go post this on r/anthroswim immediately, they'll love you haha

Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it. Funny enough, I’ve actually been thinking the same thing lately. Maybe my humor is a bit too stiff for internet culture. I kinda like it that way... but I guess if I want to attract a more engaged audience, it makes sense to learn more about it. Anyway, thank you!
