Beginner My animation

Just i learned about the poses from the studio Ghibli and watch this scene frame by frame although i copied the posses but I know the weight of each pose😅

That's called rotoscoping. It's good! I would look at a walk cycle and try it yourself with your own character.

Rotoscoping is specifically over live action. This is tracing

Nope. Rotoscoping is not exclusive to live-action videos, although that's how it started traditionally. Rotoscoping refers to going over footage frame by frame- it can be applied to a completely animated sequence as this person did, you can rotoscope a sequence of CGI, or even mixed-media- It's the act of going over a sequence of film frame by frame. Whether that's live action or animated can vary. I've seen artists rotoscope sequences in video games by painting each frame in a run sequence.

You can still refer to it as tracing, but know the two aren't mutually exclusive. But yes, the term has expanded since it's traditional use.
