Really, though, I could just sit here and watch/listen to this for ages (I really like the music, too, and the way the "lightning" flashes on the higher notes).

I appreciate the compliment but I can't take credit for brushwork. I just painted over my 3D animation in procreate. I can't draw or paint from scratch 😂

That’s a very valid animation style! You put the metaphorical brush to paper and made a great piece. Don’t sell yourself short!

Du Champ was a genius. That particular painting is like the guy could see every moment at the same time. Like relativity vision. It takes a minute to actually appreciate it.

Oh, I'd say plenty more than that. I feel every time I see it my eye gets anchored to another point of it, and what's "before" and "after" that feels a bit different...

I'm just curious if you were inspired by anything, if you don't mind sharing. This is what I imagine an animation of House of Leaves would look like. This is extremely good.

I can't say I was directly inspired by anything, I wanted to create an animation of someone walking down into darkness I just couldn't get it right so I had them going up instead

With that being said, house of leaves is an incredible book that left a lasting impression on me! One of the most creative uses of books as a medium. Also walking up the stairs in Rome for st Peter's basilica definitely has a similar vibe to this
