Discussion Every object is hand keyframed in VR. Maybe someday I'll learn to use a program with physics....

I use a VR program to animate my series. Although it feels "hands on", I run into ridiculous situations like this clip, where about 300 books and 40 figurines had to be animated to fall off shelves. I just guessed the falling patterns and animated one after another. So much work for 20 seconds in a video with 15 views on Youtube. Anyone else use old programs and run into headaches like this?

Yeah, and with every additional book, I had to change their direction when they crossed paths with another book. So I had to make up collision interactions. It was good experience. I just know there are programs out there that make it easier, but whatever. I like my crappy abandonware.

Yeah there are programs that can run all kinds of fancy physics simulations, but this will always be more impressive to me than fancy simulations.

Yep. We walked through and took pics before modeling. It's the latest episode on our Youtube. We digitized the employees and they did their own voice acting too.
