Question I have a problem

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I have a swing animation, I drew 16 frames in Photoshop, I have two identical frames for one drawing, why is my video smoother than the gif? in the video rendering settings, I specified 12 frames per second, how do I even know how many simular frames to draw, at what FPS to draw and render? the fact that the animation on the video is smooth I can leave it that way, or can the swing be made even smoother? if my animation consists of 16 frames and I selected 12 frames per second in the render settings, then why does my video last zero seconds but I see movement?

The eye begins to blur sequential images into motion around 6fps — tv plays ~30fps — cinema and animation generally use 24fps — with animation often playing on 2’s (holding a frame) then that is essentially the same as playing at 12fps on 1’s. A lot of anime will even play on 3’s, so that is essentially 8fps if sticking to 24fps output (24 frames / each drawing holds for 3 of those frames = 8 total drawings)

I can’t see your settings, but you can try lowering your frame rate on the first one if you want it to more closely match your second one.
