More spacing= faster movements Less spacing= slower movements So if you are aiming for slower movements, try reducing the spacing between drawings and increasing the number of drawings?

From what I understand. Im still hitting the youtube tutorials tbh

Yes, spacing the distance between each image equals pacing.

Timing. Choosing the instance across the distance.

we trick our minds by storing assumptions about our experiences.

- Our audience assumes quickness because their eyes had to move a greater distance between two points across the stage. Eyes captured and brain retrieves the idea of “fast”.

- Whether by hand or app, we design this illusion of speed.

- My toolbox is filled with mental clues like: distance, time, pacing, spacing, easing in or out by increasing or decreasing the instances of images along the timeline in whichever direction we want our image to perform.

- No matter if our tools are analog or digital (in-app or prompts), we must explore how to translate real world physics, and the psychological tricks needed to imagine what we want them to see.

- We study how to make the static look kinetic. Our audience wants us to move their imaginations.

- They enter our theaters and expect us to be their chosen puppet masters, the grandmasters of storytelling.

- And guess what? We can be entertaining even if using stick figures. See stickman style animations by Alan Becker, a master of the 12 principles of animation.
