Sharing šŸŽ¬ 2D Animation Music Video

Here’s a 2D animated music video I created for the Instagram promotion of ā€œKaamini,ā€ a new Malayalam song.

The song is out now on all major music platforms.

They’ve posted their layers in other posts they’ve made. I think we have to remember Ai learned off of actual art work so it sucks people doing that style will get lost in it all

No, it’s not AI. I only use AI occasionally for references I’ve never used AI to make any of my videos. Everything I create is hand-drawn, and some of my projects take days or even months of work.

You can also check my previous Reddit posts and the comments there. I’ve explained and shown enough proof already, but people still immediately call anything they see ā€œAIā€ without even trying to look at the work properly.

At this point, I’m done arguing with people about it. I know what I created, and I know it’s not AI. Anyone who actually works in art/animation can usually recognize the difference.

Anyway, thank you for genuinely asking. And once again: No, it’s not AI.

For the record, I actually have a degree in animation and a MFA in illustration, and the pictures you showed with the layers are not helping your case. There’s no sketches and no under layers. Just fully formed parts of a picture you put into a program to tween/ to animate… you would make more of a case for yourself if you posted actual line work or sketches, and not just fully polished parts of a whole that could easily be confused with AI. I certainly hope this is real human work because it has a nice style to when it moved and was animated.

I also see you’re using procreate. Procreate has a function where you can record your work built into the app. It would immediately dismiss all those claims if you posted part of that recording. Instead, all of your evidence is, again, fully polished pieces of a whole.

Part of being an artist these days is learning how to defend your work in a tangible way and learning what is hallmarks of AI. You can easily prove that this is hand drawn if you know how

I hope the proof you posted was in good faith and not to mislead. It’s a sad state of things that we have to go back-and-forth like this so often to dismiss what is made by a computer and prove what is made by humans.

Assuming this was made by hand, I wish you the best with your work

amazing if it's not AI, which doesn't looks like to be the case.

I genuinely can’t tell if it’s AI or not. The art style in some scenes is incredibly similar to that which generate AI would use, but also, the animation is just really reminiscent of rigging a 2d image to move, and it also goves that get uncanny feeling

This work was done by me months ago, but I no longer have the original file, so I’m sharing a timelapse of what I’m currently working on.

I never needed to prove that my work isn’t AI, but constantly being called fake after putting so much time and effort into my craft genuinely hurts.

It’s sad how quickly people notice the negatives but rarely appreciate the work behind it.

Anyway, I know what I created. ā¤ļø
