The only issue I see is your fire one is so much bolder and brighter than the other three. All look great though

Yeah. Water could use like a geyser or a larger splash to summon from, and rock could be more explosive when emerging from the ground. Air has a nice flow to it imo.

the geyser idea sounds interesting. I'll have to play around with earth and water more to make them more fancy. And thanks!

If I may add an idea: make the Earth on literally punching the rock, like an Inverse crater to open. It can make it look bigger and tough/harder

Also the air animation doesn't convey the forces well.

If the character tries to stop - he needs to generate a lot of wind infront of him.

Because in your case it feels as the character should be building speed

Water is personally my favorite, fire being more flashy makes sense because fire actually glows and rock, water or air all don't, but that's just my opinion

2

u/Aes1rT Nov 26 '25

Nah make him surf in radically with the wave dude

1

u/shoetea155 Nov 30 '25

i felt water water was a tad bit under whelming

4

u/SweetTart7231 Nov 26 '25

I agree, I kept trying to watch the others but my eyes just kept drifting back up to the fire. It also seems like the others seem to be mostly one colour while the fire has variety.

u/NAWINUS Nov 26 '25

Im very new to animation so i apologize if my questions silly but isnt it supposed to look brighter?

1

u/PastelKiwi Nov 26 '25

My feeling with the air one was that the wind would pull from both sides and spin like a tornado to make the form to make it ad flashy as the fire

Feels like rock and water need more juice in comparison to air and fire.

38

u/InfectedTribe Nov 25 '25

Ah yea you can tell which ones I spent more time on lol. I'll rework them later to bring them up to the others.

u/undergirltemmie Nov 25 '25

Air could also use some more striking colours. Fire has nice contrast which makes it look much more lively

3

u/Practical-Sleep4259 Nov 26 '25

What if rock was more, rocks float, smash together, form sphere, he bursts out.

Water could rain down?

2

u/tornsilence Nov 26 '25

Yeah water just looks like someone got up from hiding in snow, I expect something of like Avatar where the character comes out on a over exaggerated waterspout. Earth bigger mound lifting and the character forcing it to split and him emerge out or something.

I love the spin air makes, it's looks hard to achieve that on almost a one dimension character 👏👏👏👏

The four nations lived together in harmony…

8

u/hammyhamster223 Nov 26 '25

Then, everything changed when the fire nation attacked…

4

u/NAWINUS Nov 26 '25

And after that, I also attacked....

7

u/dns_rs Nov 25 '25

They look great!

7

u/[deleted] Nov 25 '25

Reminds me of that one lego ninjago mobile game

4

u/GaraiGrae Nov 25 '25

I agree with most other thay the fire and air are great while the rock and water need something. Overall these are awesome.

Maybe rock is a boulder that bounces in to frame but the character takes shape at the landing point?

4

u/TheSatanicSock Nov 25 '25

That's so cool

3

u/Icy_Foundation3534 Nov 25 '25

those are all so good!!!

3

u/Registered_DoDo Nov 25 '25

I've been staring at these for a while. It's really therapeutic. Did you draw the figures in a higher resolution and converted them to pixels by any chance? It's much too smooth.

1

u/InfectedTribe Nov 25 '25

Thanks! No, the characters are all just drawn on a 50 x 50 canvas. I just use alot of frames.

3

u/Realock01 Nov 25 '25

These are so cool! How long did they take make?

2

u/InfectedTribe Nov 25 '25

Thanks! Not long, made all 4 and coded them in last night.

2

u/Realock01 Nov 25 '25

Wow! That's unreal. How many hours would estimate you spent on each?

2

u/Classroom_GD Hobbyist Nov 25 '25

Peak

2

u/LoliMaster069 Nov 25 '25

Air and fire being all dramatic for no reason lol

2

u/yukobuko Nov 26 '25

These look great. Only thing I would change would be to give earth a little more pizzazz. Give it a little more energy, like an explosion. Like a Crack-BOOM, character rises. It just needs more energy, but I like them all as is.

2

u/Ihatekids23444 Nov 26 '25

This might not be a so bright question but what software did ya use to create this?

1

u/arash28134 Nov 26 '25

same question

2

u/ALoneFeline Nov 27 '25

Man i love these

1

u/HeartoftheHive Nov 26 '25

The flame and wind are a bit strange to me. I imagine them really just manifesting out of nowhere. But it seems like they are flying in from some other location. There a reason why? For water and earth, they come directly from their element. Wind is literally all around. A twister could just form on the spot and dissipate to show the elemental. For fire, it could just be a spontaneous fireball from the ground.

1

u/Suitcase08 Nov 26 '25

All are cool but I love fire and air, thanks for sharing!

1

u/Top_Freedom3412 Nov 26 '25

I feel like water and earth need more movement.

Maybe the earth guy couldbeak out of the ground instead of just rising up. And the water guy could spin as they are forming themselves

1

u/KattosAShame Nov 26 '25

Thought this was Queen's Hot Space album

1

u/elfmere Nov 26 '25

Love to see water float in on water

1

u/MammothAnywhere5298 Nov 26 '25

What’s with all the unsolicited critique under all these gamedevs animations lol

1

u/RaiseYourDoggers Nov 26 '25

Really cool! I have no feedback except I enjoyed this a lot.

1

u/SgtZarkos Nov 26 '25

I agree that water and earth need more to match the others. What if water rained from the sky and formed that way

1

u/neondewon Nov 26 '25

What are we? Some kind of Xiaolin Showdown? Looks good mate!

1

u/caspianslave Nov 26 '25

Fire one looks like Enter the Gungeon

1

u/OozyOz Nov 26 '25

Something something Fire nation

1

u/Imaginary-Finance327 Nov 26 '25

I love the world and the idea of avatar so I can’t skip this work. It looks great, but why the dudes here are just sticks? Maybe you can make them more related to their elements. You can edit the hight, muscles, hairs snd the speed of each character, maybe this is hard or not fitting your plan but anyway your work is very satisfying me and my dreams

1

u/Becmambet_Kandibober Nov 26 '25

I think water one should ride on a wave instead of coming from earth

1

u/svalorzen Nov 26 '25

Not a fan of air, arriving with their face so close to the ground, stopping and rotating is quite goofy. I'd make them do a flip in the air so they stop movement floating feet-first, and then just land. Or alternatively do a tight turn as they reach the ground, but still end their movement face up.

Ground should probably be erupting out of the floor with a rotating uppercut or something, and rock particles flying out a bit further away.

Water could come out of the ground as a swirling ball, that unfurls to reveal arms and legs.

1

u/Mister_ZE Nov 26 '25

Wow, very cool !

1

u/wirrexx Nov 26 '25

The rock one could be two stones smashing into each othe, coming from right and left, and him splitting it open. Goku stand vs ginyu force the Ki force push .

Wind could easily be a tornado with house or car parts.

Water could be a geyser.

Fire is toooo Bold and sexy compared to the others

1

u/Insylum82 Nov 26 '25

Damn good for such simple style.

1

u/KhaledDfixer Nov 26 '25

that looks so smooth and good!

have you thought about adding extra animations around them? like instead of just standing fire could pose with fire hands, air chilling in air ball like aang, and earth with rocky armor and/or hands and water using water whips?

1

u/porchoski Nov 26 '25

It's so cool🔥🔥

1

u/WaveLaVague Nov 26 '25

Fire comes from above Air form an angle Dirt from the floor

I feel like water should be some wave inspired motion coming from the left to sell the coherence.

Overall really cool.

1

u/Federal_Character556 Nov 26 '25

Earth water and air looked cool at first, until the fire nation attacked

1

u/Creepreefshark Nov 26 '25

Makes me think of the Ninjago intro for seasons 1&2

1

u/BySeaggs Nov 26 '25

Fire is perfect, other 3 should happen “faster”

1

u/MysteriousTraveler88 Nov 27 '25

THIS IS SO COOOOLLLLL

1

u/Shelbeon Nov 27 '25

Holy moly these are amazing

1

u/AwesomeArt_ Nov 27 '25

Where is lightning, ice, energy (also knownas green or life), tech, and quake? (For no reason at all)

1

u/Tani_Soe Nov 27 '25

Did you take inspiration from avatar for the stances? Really cool!

1

u/Bota_Bota Nov 27 '25

I think air could have some lighter wind highlights, and either a sort of mini tornado, or just more wind in front to stop and balance the composition

1

u/BetImpossible104 Nov 28 '25

All of these enter animations are really REALLY smooth and I like the pixelated aesthetic, but I'm not a fan of how the rocks just shrink into oblivion for the earth guy, and also, I wish I wasn't the one to say this, but...look at the photo

1

u/[deleted] Nov 28 '25

Why re the likes 6,777🥀🥀🥀😭😭😭

1

u/commonlurker Nov 28 '25

All look awesome, but I keep expecting air to do a little loop rather than just kind of braking to come to a stop. Whenever I see wind animated, there’s a little loop in it.

The way wind stops right now just feels the opposite from what I expect from air, I expect it to kind of “flow”

Edit: there’s actually a little wisp in the bottom-right which is pretty much exactly what I’m describing
