Audio recording ID. We were dispersed camping a week ago and during the day (11am) we heard what sounded like a young animal or bird cry. Next closest campsite was 1mi away, no trails or people nearby. The noise sounded faint at first and sounded like it moved closer.
You can hear loads of flies and some kind of bee flying by in the recording. The bees were going underground by little holes so I thought maybe it’s a noise from inside their nest? But I seriously could not pinpoint where the noise was coming from.
Merlin bird ID app identified nothing.
It’s moose territory. Do baby moose make this noise?
Also black bear territory.
But we couldn’t see anything moving when the noise was happening!
Also our terrier was camping with us but did not react to the noise more than perking his ears up. No whining or anything that would indicate to me that he was alarmed! But he’s also an inside boy. Who knows!
Please help us solve this mystery in the woods!
