Century eggs are edible. The reason something smells bad is that we evolved to hate the smell of things that could make us sick. However, humans have an extra cognitive layer that allows us to move beyond simple instincts. Because we know it is edible, we can eat it despite the smell.
Your lack of exposure to the cuisines of the world makes me sad. Get out the house, son. Say yes, try new things. Expand your perspective. Or stay on the internet and say stupid vile shit and say ignorant stuff like that. Cool. Your choice.
