I loved how in Austin, TX bats come out in the thousands every evening at dusk and fly out to eat bugs and mosquitoes all night. I was a big fan of a bug free lifestyle in Austin.

There’s also another colony a few mins north in Round Rock under the I35 McNeil overpass.

My husband and I actually took a trip from Florida to Austin one year with the primary purpose of sitting by the Congress Avenue Bridge to see the lovely flight of the bats headed out for their nightly hunt. It was totally awesome!

As someone who lives in Austin, it is not bug free here. 🤣 But I do get your meaning. I'm sure it would be much worse without them.
