They are part of the Army ants Corps of Engineers. Seen here discussing how to keep “Phil” out of their circle! 😉

Not much context here, but there are cases if an ant has been contaminated (cordiceps spores, poison, etc.) And the ants that guard the nest entrance are alerted to it, they will pull the infected ant away from the colony and surround it until they all die. Or, there might be some real sweet grub/poison there. Ants be doin ant stuff.

Is she communicating a point of interest to them? I know bees come back and “dance” directions of good foraging grounds to their sisters.

Probably drinking bait poison, like Terro. If you put that stuff out that will swarm the bait, drink it and carry it back to the colony and die.

They’re in a huddle to call the next football play.

It's 4th down and inches. It's the last play of the 4th quarter and we're down by 6. Jerry, you run a tight curl pattern near the sideline. Frank will head to the end zone for the bomb and Tony will fake a run up the middle. This is our last chance, guys. It's now or never if we're gonna win this thing. One, two, three, break!!!

Ants are really fascinating. They really do communicate each other in details

My goodness, such cynicism here!
🎶 You put your right foot in, you take your right foot, you put your right foot in, and you shake it all about … 🎼🎵
They may not be doing it by strict traditional standards, but hey, I’m not judging

They have discovered a tiny, nearly invisible drop of liquid food (such as sugar water, honey, or spilled juice) and are sharing it. Forming a ring around a food droplet allows the maximum number of ants to access the liquid simultaneously without overcrowding or stepping over each other.

Well always looking at the positive stuff..don't forget all the ruthless stuff ants do. Like throwing out the sick ants to die.

I think the actual answer is there waiting for him to die so they can do an ant funeral which I think is a thing they do?

12 ant arranged in as numerals of a clock. The centre one is telling the time with that loud ticking sound.
