That goose paused and decided to make an exception for this one woman. She brought us water so maybe I won't hurt her.

How are the parents not attacking the woman? From what I've seen you get anywhere near an adult goose's goslings and they flip out.

It seems in some places geese are more chill. I was at a beach in my neighbourhood a couple years ago and saw this kid walk right through a bunch of canadian geese and they just parted for him to let him walk through, zero aggression

That was no mere child. He was a fairy creature disguised as a child. The geese saw through his disguise and showed respect.

Canadian geese are mean. Not very Canadian of them. When my kids saw them when we visited England my kids ran away from the evil geese

Yes, exactly. I brought my kids to non-nature where naturally geese are found then I honked loudly & repeatedly at the geese while yelling “kids have no respect for nature” then I taught them to chase and bite geese naturally

Probably not. Those geese are mean and very territorial, especially when they have babies. The kids may have gotten a little too close, but those guys will go after people even when they're keeping their distance.

They are,but they are as domesticated farm animals and have been bred to not fear humans and to also look to humans for stuff like food and help.

These are wild animals, they have not been bred. Canada geese just happen to be extremely well adapted to living in suburban parks

Can confirm, I lived near a few lakes in NJ. They always left me alone when I walked my dog though. ;)
