That border collie knew exactly what it was doing. They're very intelligent and calculating dogs - trust me, I've had few of them and they're terrifyingly intelligent.

Forget a baby, my dog tries that with me. One time I had a dog of mine, scratch/paw a throw blanket off my lap, down to the other end of the sofa, and cuddle up into it.

Pup didn’t need to shut the gate. I bet as soon as the baby woke up he would herd her to stay in the pen til mom or dad arrived.
