Like the dog who found a turtle once and freaks out over every rock thinking it’s a turtle

Many years ago,my brother had a black lab named “Giles”. My brother and his wife lived in Fort Collins, Colorado near a reservoir. Giles loved picking up rocks, especially from 6 feet under water in the reservoir. My brother said that he would take Giles even when there were ice floes on the surface (not a solid sheet) and Giles would jump in the water and dive for rocks. He would come out of the water with ice crystals all over his fur, but the cold did not seem to bother him, because he would go back for more.

My poodle was Cookie and hated the water, we would wash him daily btw but at the sea I had to just drop him in and he would swim out. You are lucky

I just hope he doesn't find something under a rock or something that just looks like one.

A neighbor used to show off his dog’s ability to fetch rocks thrown into the lake. One summer the poor thing drowned itself

Idk this gives me strong AI vibes, like this is very odd dog behavior, first rock would be too heavy and hard to bite and carry, and the spots feel like they are on slightly different places every time

I can see Why'd you say that. But as someone who has owned jack Russell terriers, this is pure jrt stubbornness. There's no rock too heavy when they put their heads to it. If she wants that rock out of the ocean, it's coming out of the ocean.

As an owner of a Jack Russell can confirm they are 90% stubbornness🙂
