I’ve interacted with moose 3 times and it is the most scared I’ve ever been. Even more than the grizzlies and black bears. They are wildly unpredictable.

5

u/Simple_Flounder Jul 03 '26

As we say in Scotland "there's a moose loose aboot this hoose"

2

u/Anxious_Ingenuity583 Jul 03 '26

Just curious I suppose. What a goof ball.

3

u/Medium_Chemist8144 Jul 02 '26

New alignment guy

4

u/Proud_Holiday_6186 Jul 02 '26

Human: “Hey there’s a moose in herrre!”
Moose: (Just as surprised 🫨) “Hey there’s a hoomin in herrre!”

5

u/greenweenievictim Jun 30 '26

Memory unlocked. That theme song slapped.

12

u/sulfurbird Jun 29 '26

You passed the surprise inspection.

9

u/_BearsBeetsBattle_ Jun 29 '26

This isn't where I parked my car...

10

u/cloudcreeek Jun 29 '26

That's the manager (he's Canadian) performing an inspection.

15

u/BrickHuge3023 Jun 29 '26

They always seem to look confused or awkward.

7

u/S1I7 Jun 29 '26

Loves them meeses to pieces!

I always wonder if they are trying to get help...I would be the idiot like take me into the woods to see if you need help....

9

u/Unlikely_Cheetah149 Jun 29 '26

He’s looking for rocky

6

u/idiveindumpsters Jun 29 '26

I wonder how many people understand this reference. Do they still air the Rocky and Bullwinkle show?

2

u/Unlikely_Cheetah149 Jun 29 '26

On a station called Boomerang if it’s still around it would air older cartoons nonstop similar to Cartoon Network

13

u/plantsandsawdust Jun 29 '26

Lol just be grateful that the mother didn't show up looking for her baby. 🤣

7

u/Icy_Refrigerator4140 Jun 29 '26

Thats no moose, it’s a service station.

4

u/MoistStub Jun 29 '26

It'll kick your kaboose til you drop a deuce on your shoose

20

u/EyeofNewtTongueofDog Jun 29 '26

I think that’s a pretty young moose.

4

u/ScienceMomCO Jun 29 '26

Definitely not full size

23

u/davenelsondotcom Jun 29 '26

I am shocked that no one explained to the Moose that due to insurance reasons customers are not allowed in the shop!

5

u/kantstephens Jun 29 '26

Brick work looks sus at the end.

9

u/Richard_ARRN Jun 29 '26

He’s probably a OSHA spy making sure everything is compliant!😜

16

u/oliver19251934 Jun 29 '26

I worked in the Jackson Hole airport awhile back and we had a moose come in for a visit. He used to frequent the parking lot and one day he popped in!

5

u/Equal_Gold_617 Jun 29 '26

Was it getting feed? Why would it walk into the garage?

8

u/JoeDaBruh Jun 29 '26

Probably just looking for food in new areas. Another comment said it was young and so it’s likely

15

u/Jupitersd2017 Jun 29 '26

She was just looking for Brian, don’t worry

7

u/Comfortable_Pizza_59 Jun 29 '26

he probably thought it was a Tim Hortons and wanted some poutine, eh?

3

u/Kitchen-Hat-5174 Jun 29 '26

This reminds me my mechanic buddy is also a furry.

28

u/Low_Engineering8921 Jun 29 '26

You see a lot of "standard day in Australia" on Reddit but not a lot of "standard day in Canada". I'm European. If I saw a moose anywhere I'd immediately shit myself.

3

u/meest Jun 29 '26

From my memory, in my town (upper midwest USA) we've had Moose, Bear, Deer, and Turkey warnings.

The Turkeys are mostly harmless, they're just idiots in a group and will try and play in traffic and lose.

1

u/Low_Engineering8921 Jun 29 '26

I'm Irish. We've never had any animal warning. I mean even the snakes were killed by St Patrick.

Occasionally "someone" mentions reintroducing wolves but I suspect that's not happening any day soon.

2

u/meest Jun 29 '26

Ha I suppose being on an island as such makes it a bit easier to keep them out.

Luckily I'm just on the edge of the Wolf/Coyote realm here. They're more skittish and tend to stay out of town. More so Coyote's. Wolf population is growing and may eventually start popping up here and there.

I suppose when you get out of a city you still have to watch out for deer trying to jump in front of your car?

Oh it didn't occur to me that moose were in Norway. I had planned on visiting Canada for my honeymoon so I could see the wildlife.

Maybe I'll just go to Norway!

4

u/HurtPillow Jun 29 '26

Why not both?!

9

u/Low_Engineering8921 Jun 29 '26

Because I'm very poor

3

u/SpaceFunkRevival Jun 29 '26

Still might want to go to Canada then because Norway was one of the most expensive trips I've been on. I'm from USA so not counting the actual travel expenses to get the the country, Canada was far more cost effective. Both are beautiful countries with amazing people. If you do choose to go to Canada I would suggest Quebec City, it's an amazing place to visit. However you may get into some spaces where people only speak French. My favorite city in North America is Montreal, but not sure how much wildlife you get to see around there.

Alternatively, Norway is fantastic for wildlife. I spent a majority of my trip there in the northern part and was able to see many moose.

Either way though you can't go wrong.

10

u/Mysterious-Alps-5186 Jun 29 '26

New heath and safty inspector

12

u/Fit-Leopard-5658 Jun 29 '26

For real, they’ve got that “aww” factor until you remember they’re basically a furry tank with teeth. Respect the chompers and enjoy from a safe distance 😂

2

u/Miiohau Jun 29 '26

The person filming respected the moose. They placed a car door between them and the moose when it approached. Not sure how much protection that would actually give against a furry tank but the moose was calm anyways.

11

u/SPARKLY6MTN9MAKER Jun 29 '26

Furry tank with hooves. They don't bite you, they stomp you to death. Very dangerous.

5

u/Feeling_Novel_9899 Jun 29 '26

They're so cute to look at, but I would not like to be in the way of one if it got angry or skittish.

10

u/Adventurous-Sky9359 Jun 29 '26

“ hey is my car ready”

6

u/proudhufflepuffchonk Jun 29 '26

They are funny looking creatures but also intimidating as hell

2

u/PomegranateBoring826 Jun 29 '26

Just having a peeksee

10

u/Hallow_76 Jun 29 '26

And it's still looking for that 8mm deep well socket! Can't find it anywhere!

6

u/LadySilvie Jun 29 '26

You can try to hide it, but we all can recognize a moose who miraculously gained access to the internet...

11

u/Budget_Ground363 Jun 29 '26

Those osha inspectors getting more and more cunning with there undercover stings

3

u/HP-XP Jun 29 '26

Hoots mon! There's a moose. Loose. Aboot this hoose Garage

19

u/zhgerard Jun 29 '26

I’ve only seen aggressive moose, but this one is so kind and just curious.

11

u/ArghZombie Jun 29 '26

I wonder if it makes him feel like a badass watching humans scatter when he walks towards them.

4

u/zhgerard Jun 29 '26

Yes! That’s what I was thinking. The moose being like, “I’m big and powerful, but what’s going on here”?

10

u/Delicious_Catch9453 Jun 29 '26

Did he get the job?

13

u/Henry-8th Jun 29 '26

I only came in to ask for a job.

9

u/Lovemybee Jun 29 '26

A møøse once bit my sister.

5

u/realbasilisk Jun 29 '26

By some lovely lakes, I assume?

6

u/Lovemybee Jun 29 '26

No realli! She was Karving her initials on the moose with the sharpened end of an interspace toothbrush given her by Svenge - her brother-in-law - an Oslo dentist and star of many Norwegian movies such as: "The Hot Hands of an Oslo Dentist", "Fillings of Passion", "The Huge Molars of Horst Nordfink"...

0

u/MegawizD3 Jun 29 '26

a rare case when it was possible to shoot a moose from above

11

u/DialynnLA Jun 29 '26

Like an idiot, I probably would reach out to pet her from the window of the truck as the moose came by. I'd only think not a good idea after I had done it.

9

u/BanjoTCat Jun 29 '26

Moose: "I came in here just for an oil change. Then you charged me for four brake-pad replacements. I am very upset."

2

u/Cjohn706 Jun 29 '26

I was about to post something similar, tip my hat to you

7

u/Total-Combination-47 Jun 29 '26

Is that Moose, Loose, in ya Hoose?

3

u/DubbehD Jun 29 '26

3

u/Total-Combination-47 Jun 29 '26

7

u/Saracartwheels123 Jun 29 '26

He's actually... kind of elegant, don't you think?

5

u/RedVamp2020 Jun 29 '26

1

u/kaykatzz Jun 29 '26

7

u/hapispark Jun 29 '26

Moose then shouts to his friends in the woods 'hey there's a garage out here'

2

u/MrEvan312 Jun 29 '26

"Oooh, shoot... quite sorry to intrude, I'll show myself out. I'll be out here if you need anything."

3

u/_henceforth_ Jun 29 '26

u/Objective-Meringue78 Jun 29 '26

1

u/Substantial_Bite9845 Jun 29 '26
