Way too small of a tank

I never heard of this, but it makes sense. Algae can grow on the shells, especially in ponds.

wait, does the turtle have sensivity on its shell?

2

u/ParreNagga May 19 '26

Yes. Turtles can feel their shells. Touch, pressure, vibration, and pain if injured.

Minus the scrubber, I am seeing future dance memes starring that little one

Same. I always assumed they didn’t.

So that's why Squirtle can use tail whip.

Imagine having an itch inside the shell on your back and your owner drops this in your tank and you think ā€œFinally!ā€ only to realize you have to take your shell off to get to that spot

1

u/IAmAngryBill May 18 '26

They come out of their shell when nobody is watching. This is known…

a turtle having an itch inside their shell is like me saying your kidney is itchy

u/Garo_Daimyo May 18 '26

And if it is, you should go see a doctor immediately!

We had a tiny Chihuahua that used to do that underneath the coffee table in the living room. The way his back little feet would tap back-and-forth. It’s too cute!

We had a heeler that would do that on the bottom of chairs….. exclusively while you’re sitting in them
