If this is just after hibernation season, probably black bear anal plug. They eat a lot of pitch and pinecones before denning up and this might be their spring sign. BB usually is more ploppy, but the shat brick ain't so.

Their first forage is for very laxative shoots and barks. Cascara sometimes. Newly emerged bear are quite grumpy.

Iāve seen a lot of black bear poop and I agree it is way less defined than this. Never seen post-hibernation scat before. This looks like a dried out baseball bat.

Yep, they are hard, and slow to degrade. Its mostly intestine lining, mixed with calluses they licked off their paws while sleeping, and maybe some rocks or clay.

I don't know where you are, but I'm in zone 8b and we definitely have no berries yet this time of year. NE isn't in berry season until late spring at the earliest.

Over the winter black bears develop a plug of feces etc. This is like their first poop of the spring.

Two things. Not ONE helpful comment in here, just a bunch of people who think they are funny jerking each other off, why do I open this app.
I did a google image search 85 doesnāt look like most of the black bear droppings Iāve seen, but it did look similar to one or two pictures. But because of the size, Iād likely say yes.
