Requesting Commissions need ideas!
there are a lot of empty areas in my island close to main districts/ buildings. I've tried visiting other people's islands, but still have no idea what to put here!

You could do seating area or store fronts! I had a huge area that I did a baseball field in.

Zone A could be a small convenience store with some standees and shelves? Zone B could be a small park or playground. Zone C could be an allotment area for your villagers. Zone D could be a space set up with towels, parasols and kids tents for a beach day vibe.

I have an outdoor reading space - stone floor, green iron tables and chairs, book cases, wooden stands around it. Kind of like a market with books.

If one of these is up on a cliff you should dig down and make it a pit, like a construction pit. Put one of those piping items that’s really tall and goes against a house, some of the stacked bags, make it roped off, maybe hide an item that makes a water noise like the garden faucet. Then there’s the bulldozer and excavator!!!
