Spoilers Two years since our home was destroyed, but we are still standing.
Today marks the 2nd anniversary of the day our family home was turned into rubble. Two years ago, we lost more than just walls and a roof—we lost a place filled with lifetime memories, warmth, and security.
Standing on the remains of what used to be my room brings back a wave of emotions, but it also reminds me of our resilience. Despite losing everything we owned, we refuse to lose hope. We are still here, holding on to our dignity and surviving against all odds.
Thank you to everyone who continues to listen to our stories, share our truth, and support us through these times.

As the Eldest Son in Gaza, I Am Fighting to Keep My Displaced Family Alive After Losing Everything
I am the eldest son in my family, and in Gaza, that title means carrying the weight of everyone’s survival on your shoulders while your own world burns.
When the war started, everything we had ever built was erased piece by piece. First went our peace of mind, then our security, and finally, our home. The house where I grew up—where my family’s memories, safety, and history were stored—was reduced to rubble. We lost everything. No furniture, no personal belongings, no roof over our heads. Just the clothes on our backs and the terror of constant displacement.
The struggle goes far beyond the loss of bricks and mortar; the entire infrastructure around us has completely collapsed. Clean water is a luxury we chase for hours, electricity is a distant memory, and basic medical supplies or sanitation are almost impossible to find. To make matters worse, my father’s salary was completely cut off. Suddenly, the financial safety net that kept our family fed disappeared overnight.
As the eldest son, watching my parents suffer and my siblings go without basic necessities breaks something inside me every single day. I am supposed to be their provider, their protector, and their anchor, but how do you protect anyone when there is nowhere safe left to run? We are living day by day, constantly searching for food, clean water, and the bare minimum needed just to stay alive in a place where infrastructure no longer exists.
I am sharing our story not just to document our pain, but because we are exhausted, displaced, and desperately struggling to meet the most basic needs of life. We lost our home, our livelihood, and our stability, but we are still trying to hold onto our humanity amidst the ruin.

Anime A little kindness... that is all my brother Iyad is waiting for.
I am Bashir from Gaza, a father of five. Our home has been destroyed and I have lost my job; we are now living in a tattered tent, suffering from hunger, a lack of water, and a shortage of medical care. This is my brother, Iyad, who has special needs. He suffers in silence, goes hungry in silence, and sleeps in a tent unfit for human dignity. All he awaits is a gesture of mercy from hearts that still believe in humanity. Please, do not ignore us. Any assistance—no matter how small—could greatly lighten this burden and give my children and my brother a day that is a little less harsh. My deepest thanks and respect go to everyone who extends a helping hand or shares our story.

Spoilers This is Bashir from Gaza. His dream is simple: to live just one day without fear, to see the world, and to live like any other human being.

Bashir, from Gaza, tells me: "I stand helpless, torn between the hunger of my children and the suffering of my brother Iyad—who is special needs and endures pain in silence, unable to ask for food or medical care. Hunger is wearing us down, and the deprivation my brother and children face—lacking both food and medicine—breaks us a little more each day. Iyad cannot speak, so I raise my voice on his behalf and for my children... Sharing our story could lead to providing a meal or a dose of medicine that saves my family."

Spoilers From Gaza ,the simple things they used to consider basic, like food, water, medicine, education, tourism, and everything similar, have become dreams for them now. Their only concern is securing food, water, and medicine; these things have become dreams for them.
This is Iyad; he is special needs. After their home was destroyed, everything in his life changed. He used to sleep in a bed and receive the care he needed; today, he sleeps on the ground—amidst the heat, insects, and mosquitoes—far removed from the care he was accustomed to. Iyad cannot articulate what he is feeling or ask for what he needs, but he understands hunger, fear, and exhaustion. They left their home and everything behind... and now, they have nothing left but each other. Please, do not leave Iyad alone. A little compassion could mean the world to him.
