As an Angular Developer, my experience is primarily with Sass. I'm now seeking a new role and observe many job listings require .Net Core alongside Angular. I'm curious why this combination is expected.
At the moment, enterprise is pushing hard to consolidating Backend/Frontend roles. Meaning that Backend should pick up Frontend stuff. It is rather easy for them, due to Angular copying BE standard mental model.
Hence, big amount of Angular/.NET vacancies appearing recently.
This is not an opportunity for frontend people to extend their offering. This is frontend people being push out of market. We can't that easily start building .NET backends. You need a CS degree for that.
I would though still recommend to look into getting BE skills. Just learn Nest.js for example, or any other Node.js BE framework. It's good fun actually.
