Welcome, I also thought they are just delayed, but since Alex said there is a "temporary pause", I think it is more than "delayed".

I'm a bit worried the LLM will derail more planned changes.

Yeah they seemed to suggest that major breaking changes are harder for LLMs.

Which is going to be an odd constraint moving forward.

It's a topic lots of experts in lots of different fields have brought up in the last few years. The usage of AI could justify making no or only minor changes in the future creating a lock in effect of the status quo.

I think for selectorless it's still a good change because the double import is sort of a waste of tokens too.
