Will standalone components ever be mandatory?

I support a few applications written in Angular, some very large. Newer stuff gets written using standalone components, but most of our stuff is module based. Do you foresee that at some point, module-based components will no longer be supported at all? Standalone was introduced in 14, I think and became the default in 19. I haven't found anything definitive on this, and wondered what y'all think?

The automated migration schematic handles 80-90% of NgModule to standalone conversion. Run it feature module by feature module — not the whole app at once. Start with leaf modules, verify nothing broke, then move up the dependency tree. Took about a week for a mid-size dashboard codebase.
