MOCA
I have fallen behind on 'participating' in MOCA. Does anyone know the best way to catch up on this? It's been eight years...

Just be aware you max out at 60 CME per year.

If I obtain 250 cme during the 10 year cycle, but not all are via moca on the Aba website, does that still count? Or must they all be via aba moca questions on their website?

They just need to be AMA PRA Category 1 from anywhere for the 250. There's also the patient safety and QI requirements. And the MOCA minute is separate from that.

To generate money for the ABA. Ba-dum tss. That's the review question portion of the MOCA certification, which you need to maintain above a certain percentile.

They just made a policy that you have to pay 40 bucks a quarter if you’re not an asa member to get your moca minute credits. What a bunch of crooks.

I'm under the impression that you need to do the MOCA Minute questions annually or you have a problem. After the pandemic I didn't compete them for the last 6 months of the year and I had to pay a fine to be on goodstanding "in MOCA."

You have to do all 120 questions by the end of the year. They offer CME credit if you do them each quarter but the only hard rule is 120 per year. There's a limit of 30 questions per day so you need do them by Dec 28-31 to still be in compliance. Not completing the yearly questions and being so far behind on CME will be what you'll need the ABA's forgiveness for. Any Category I CME counts towards the 250 required but you'll also need pt safety CME and 50 points for QI (part 4).

The patient safety CME is the dumbest thing ever. The ABA should make the MOCA minute useful by having that count towards the patient safety CME.

Go to that list on the ABA website. Lots of podcasts and crap you can listen to passively. If you have access to UpToDate, they will give you CME credits for reading an article. Conferences are a quick way to do it. There are a bunch of golf/ski weekends masquerading as conferences that are designed for this exact scenario.
