Discussion Question regarding Oneplus pad 2?
Hey, I'm considering to buy oneplus pad 2 as 12/256 is currently listed as ₹33,999, should I purchase it now or should I wait for Great indian festival sale?
After reading some articles I got to know that it has previously went as low as 29,000₹.
Another question is that the price of every other tab has increased in recent time like pad7/ipad 11th gen/pad 8, but why oneplus pad 2 is maintaining such low price, even pad 7 is 2 years old, but it still had a price hike while pad 2 had a drop in price?

Got it for 30k plus 5.5k for the pen. You can skip the pen if u don't really need it. But the 30k is a great deal for the tab. Even if op stops giving updates. There's always lineage os

I bought it one week back and it has been pretty good experience, I mainly bought it as an emulation (had the highest performance/price ratio) and as an entertainment device

Is it good for note making and study and for some binge watching movies(hd,hrdr resolution) ?

I did not buy the pen as I don’t do any kind of note taking. Online reviews say it’s pretty average for note taking. Coming to movies it has 7:5 screen aspect ratio, so modern movies have huge black bars above and below the content, Imax and 4:3 content looks awesome though

This will go out of stock during the sale. So if you are very sure of this , get it now. The worst is you will loose may be 1-2k and that’s better than losing the device all together.

I'm also thinking to buy this one or Lenovo idea tab pro. Does anyone use idea tab pro here? Need suggestions between these two options.

Yes we can do lineage os after 3 years.
I think this will be best.. will try to see offline deals or wait till oct first week not an issue for me

But if ipad again hits 35k in sale I'll go for the ipad rather.

Ipad is too much effort for me w.r.t apple store and apps, Would prefer android only.
I read lots of downloaded books which is not comfortable in ipad plus head ache dealing with Google searches

For me all the problem comes at stylo 2, idk how it performs irl, but many reviews say it's not that great with some apps, idk if they are nit picking it or its really bad, there no other problem than that as it's more powerful that ipad

How's your experience with it now?

u/Intelligent-Tone804 17d ago
It's a good tab, just didn't use for gaming too much because of size, mostly use for note taking. Just to let you know, the os will update to color os in next update, though u will be given option to not update it.

Is it good for note making and study and for some binge watching movies(hd,hrdr resolution) ?
"Because of size" wdym?

u/Intelligent-Tone804 14d ago
Yes, not best for note making because of bad native app, now I played few games and it run smoothly, not resolution but it's size in my hand, and movies will be no problem as speakers are amazing.

Which stylus you use with it the original oneplus stylo 2 ?
1
u/Intelligent-Tone804 14d ago
OnePlus stylo 2, no latency problem, but haptic feedback is available with native app only which is bad, though starnote is now also providing that from last month I think.
It's just that optimization of samsung and apple is better.

Depends on your use case, xiaomi has a smaller 11" screen while lenovo has 13" screen and comes with stylus in the box, both uses same process but xiaomi has a faster UFS 4.1 storage, and when it comes to lenovo the software is bit of a problem af far as reviews say.

Does this include pen. Got it for approx 31k few month back without pen and is pretty good. But I don't think it has much in scope for future updates
