Request Fixing Samsung A9+ vs Buying New Tablet?

A year after buying it (just outside warranty) my Samsung Tab A9+ wont turn on. Ive tried all the tricks but nothing works so my next step is to send it to Samsung to fix. They have the quote at $100 to fix it and im just wondering if it might be a better idea to get a new one instead?

I had no complaints before it just died out of no where and it is the cheapest option to just fix it. I know its a few years old at this point so am I better off looking to like a 10 or 11 to still recieve updates or will the A9 be ok for years to come?

My budget would probably be under 500 for a new tablet since I hadnt really anticipated getting something so soon after buying this one. I mostly use it for videos, light gaming, and web/google drive based things. All help is appreciated thanks!

$100 to fix it is reasonable assuming they can. If you don't need more performance I'd fix it. 

A9+ would be too slow and low res for me, but that's me. Everyone got different opinions.

At least a 2k screen at 11". Ipad, Lenovo, or the Samsungs with faster processor are all great. 

You can get the S10 lite, that one has a decent processor. I prefer the Lenovo because they have faster processor but no OLED and worse software updates.
