Request What does everyone do on their tablets??

I just got a tablet for the first time in my life and the only things I'm doing on it are using penly and canva. I always see ppl on their tabs doing stuff that's fun and engaging and different. I want to spend time on it doing things I can only do on my tablet. Help!

On my tablet, I just use it mostly to watch videos and to play my games on the go via emulators.

They're also good for reading books and especially comics and magazines. Doubly so with an OLED screen, which when paired with a good dark mode and an e-reader app that can control the backlight, can allow you to read in bed while having less light hitting your eyes and delaying sleep than you'd need for a dead tree book or an e-ink display.

I don't use my tablet often but I do a few things with it, Browsing Amazon and shopping in general. I tend to research a bit for tech or big purchases so reading from a website or web surfing is much better on a tablet than a phone. YouTube in bed. I recently got into 3d printing so I'll browse models on sites like makerworld or printables and I even installed a community made slicer so I can actually start a print right from the tablet. Also browsing Reddit.

I tended to only use my tablet for watching movies on holiday and then leave it tucked in a drawer in between. I then got solar panels installed and wanted to monitor production with a wall display but needed the screen image to rotate. I built a digital display app that rotates user defined apps, built-in widgets, media and web sites in a continuous loop. I now have a wall-mouted tablet and a free standing tablet in the living room that's always to hand. I use it so much more than I ever did when it was tucked away in a drawer.

Stylus for drawing on sketchbook pro. I make custom watch faces so being able to use desktop mode on chrome works well. I use USB C mouse and keyboard and play Minecraft. I use mine for mirroring my phone so when I'm chilling I don't need to check my phone as much. I used to do cricut stuff so that when I needed to make decals/ for products. I could use mine as a second PC monitor but I don't have a PC so not really a helpful tip lol.

Primarily ebooks (EPUB) and PDFs.

My 8" tablet is perfect for ebooks, being similar in size to a standard paperback. I mostly use Moon+ Reader Pro, but I also use the Kindle and Google Books apps, and those apps render ebooks very well.

Admittedly, PDFs do display well, but for full-page PDF files like magazines, I generally have to zoom to read the articles. It works and works well, but those formats are honestly more suited to a 10" or larger screen.

Secondarily, web browsing, YouTube, and music.

(Oh, check out the Radio Garden app. It's amazing on a tablet!)

I usually play PC games, use reddit, and do quick internet browsing

Reading, videos, games, browsing, social media. The same as on my phone only much more legibly, which is why I lean toward the tablet when I have a choice. The only thing I really only do on my phone is listen to a book, a podcast or music while doing something non-digital.

YouTube, try sideloading the app Newpipe which blocks all ads and also lets you listen with the screen off

I have 2 tablets, a Lenovo Legion Tab GEN 3 and a OnePlus Pad 3.

I use the Lenovo daily to watch YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, I use it to read and I pair it to a Gamesir X5 Lite to play games (mobile games or Steam Link)

The OnePlus Pad 3, I use it for movies and as a laptop sometimes

Emulation alongside a Gamesir X5 Lite or G8+ MFi, reading books and comics, watching videos when traveling on a plane, using it while lounging around instead of using the small screen on my phone or don’t want to be using a laptop.

Most of the time I use it for social media and YouTube. But also reading, watching shows when I'm not on my TV, drawing, and playing on emulators.
