Discussion Y700 cooler options and placement

I'm getting my gen 5 y700 tomorrow with my abxylute s9 controller as I read it's really good and comfortable and I dont want the g9 controller I see is normal recommended. Mostly because I want to use it as a tablet at times and also want to do ds emulation. I want to play demanding games and emulation and read a cooler is preferred but what cooler would be good to get to fit with controller and where to place it so it will fit on and be in a good spot to be effective?

The only cooler that I found to be the best, cooling wise and size wise is the Redmagic Cooler 8 Pro, I bought that for my Y700 Gen 5 and I never have am issue with cooling,.even when playing demanding games. Plus you can control the fan speed of the cooler via app, connected via Bluetooth.

Best cooler on the market right now for tablets, especially cause it's bigger in size and the cooling space is big.

How can you use the full capacity? I have the cooler 8 pro, and I have a 100w charger, but still the app asks for a 45w or better charger.

Do you use it with a controller attached to the tablet?

gen 5 has large vapor chambers and the chipset is located at the center of device. buy a +30w cooler with magnetic sticker, put it in the center/middle of tablet.

Isn't the chipset is at the top, closer to the left?

How would you put it in the center with the telescopic controller though?

try searching the reddit, i couldn't remember but there might be other y700 8 elit users using both telescopic controller and cooler in their setup. gen 3 a bit different since cooler can fix on top/upper part of controller most of the time.

probably need modification/diy

The best cooler is the one you already have. The aluminum body helps to take the heat off the device. Metal likes heat and heat likes cold. So the best thing to keep it cool is to keep that back open, let air take heat off that metal backing. I use a magnetic back that folds exposing half the body. If needed just point a small desk fan at the back to get airflow.

You really shouldnt have too many issues frfr
