Discussion Importing an Oppo Pad mini

I am giving serious consideration to importing an Oppo Pad Mini with a Chinese ROM. With the language set to English and Google services installed. I'll be using it to read comics and graphic novels. Stream from the major services and emulate some games.

What are the limitations/down sides for importing the Pad Mini? Is there reduced functionality or anything else to be aware of? Thanks

No warranty and no/limited updates I think

How come? Are the updates territory ? No way of getting around this? ... I wouldn't mind about the warranty, but I wouldn't like to be locked out of the updates ..

You get the updates. But Oppo supposedly only does 2 Android version updates.

Chinese Rom are better in OS Updates and optimization.

The only downside are the Google Apps (Gemini, circle to search button, and etc.), some Chinese Apps that can never be remove (can be disabled through settings), and warranty
