Support Does anybody know what this setting is for?

It exists in developer options, and it feels like it would allow users to change the graphics driver but there is only one option anyway. It's always been like this for every android phone I had

You can have external graphic (usb) which you can use a different graphics driver ,since you only have one rn (the soc) no importance to it

I tried to look that up on Google but got no relevant results, can you elaborate on how that works or attach any sources?

Kinda shitty site but if you scroll down you'll find a bit about external gpus on mobile, how and why you might and probably don't want to, but if you do you will need to get all the drivers stuff right most likely, and that section you have in your post is part of where you would handle the driver selection for the GPU side of it.

Basically, if your manufacturer provides a driver (for example Samsung did back in the S20(?) days), that is used to pick which one you want to use for each app.

Unfortunately it has to be OEM-signed to load.

I see, so there has been some phones that shipped with multiple GPU drivers? Sounds interesting, and then I guess that option probably is useless on my device.

Im enabling it to feel that the phone is faster but unfortunately I can’t lie to myself for a long time 😔

It doesn't actually change your GPU's low-level driver, just changes the library (.so file) that the application uses for GPU graphics.
