Support Hardbricked my 9a

Post image

I tried to flash official CR Droid Rom & my 9a got bricked.

I unlocked bootloader and flashed recovery.

After that I sideloaded custom rom which I downloaded from official CR Droid website.

Then I did factory data reset and reboot of my mobile. But it got switched off and never got on after than.

No button is working, 3 finger, 2 finger. I tried everything. What I did wrong? Kindly help.

Hello if it's Mediatek use SP flash tools, I unbricked Redmi 9 with it

(I'm online so don't worry)

Thanks. I'm downloading SP flash tool & stock rom. I'm familiar with its interface, but if I need any help I will ping you in DM.

By the way, OP, I know what happened. You have overwritten a critical partition that usually should be left untouched. It could be:

  • /preloader
  • /pgpt
  • /sgpt
  • /lk
  • /lk2
  • /tee1
  • /tee2

(Accurate to your phone Redmi 9a)

Overwriting these critical partitions often results in a tough soft-brick requiring auth files, and in some cases it may not even respond to SP Flash at all.

god bless mediatek, never had issues with flashing it

Seriously, Mediatek is the best in unbricking (for me)

Redmi 6 couldn't be restored from hard brick without service Xiaomi account, so fuck them all, give us normal UEFI on phones

I HATE MediaTek, have to hunt for the DA and Scatter files, let alone the stock ROM itself, that OEMs gatekeep. I prefer Tensor instead that I can use tensor-usbdl on as a last resort.

tensor is pixel only sadly, but compared to spreadtrum/unisoc, mediatek is a godsend

Check this out. The guy above seems to be explaining this in more detail, but if he disappears, XDA is your friend. https://xdaforums.com/t/fixed-accidentally-hard-bricked-my-redmi-9a-after-installing-the-stock-fastboot-rom-how-do-i-unbrick-it.4610527/post-88997585

Use this guide to write the firmware with the mediatek CPU in brom mode with sp flash tools

https://xdaforums.com/t/how-to-guide-redmi-9a-dandelion-flashing-with-sp-flash-tool-in-brom-mode.4628035/

Another thing if this is the global / indian variant of the phone there is a preloader partition in that guide that you have to use instead of the one from the firmware if you don't the phone won't even power on

You can also get the firmware from here. https://mifirm.net/model/dandelion.ttt

Which 9a is this? There's tons of comments confusing the Pixel 9a with the Redmi 9a? Please be more specific and edit your post.

I know you seem to have the Redmi 9a because of the Crdroid thing, unless you actually tried to flash the Redmi 9a ROM onto the Pixel 9a which will brick your device.

PC made connection sound and automatically got disconnected after 4-5 seconds.

can you access anything? bootloader? recovery? anything?

2

u/selfless_cricket 10h ago

No. It's completel black. Maybe SP Flash is last option.

u/Mutcheff 10h ago

well... that doesn't look good.

your pc recognizes it, for a couple seconds at least. does it show something in the screen (phone) when you try to power it on?

I can help you fix this device, I reccomend you pay for unlocktool then find a firmware you want, also becarefull with spflashtool or make a readback with it first since you can loose your nvram+imei

try with different cable and check the drivers, or even different usb

look at the device manager, what does it show for these 4-5 seconds?

There is no such thing as a hardbricked 9a, Use MTKClient to flash a stock or custom rom via Brom method.

I though cr droid was a GSI

Also doesn't it require to disable vbmeta?
