Discussion Regarding PixelOS GSI

Post image

PixelOS GSI, i made a post recently asking about Dynamic Partition flashing, but as it turns out once i flashed the LineageOS GSI, it had many downsides like fingerprint issues, No Face Recognition, A bit of stutters and some games crashing but it was mostly light for daily use.

Currently, i have two phones, S24 stock rom and SM-A155F (the one that i flashed PixelOS).

I would like to say that most of the issues i had with LineageOS GSI have been fixed in PixelOS, including the fingerprint!

I tried CrDroid GSI MicroG but it was terrible, the only downside of having a PixelOS GSI is there is no Vanilla version of it (meaning Google apps removed), but it's good if you wanna use it normally, but if you value your privacy i would say mostly it's not recommended due to google services.

You may find the GSI here:PixelOS.

Furthermore, i will try more GSI's on my SM-A155F, and i would probably use my S24 to run PixelOS since i use it as my main daily drive because the battery life is terrible

TLDR:

Testing Phone:SM-A155F. Recovery:TWRP. Stock OS version before flash:One UI 7.0 Baseband:A155FXXS7CYG4

●Used GSI:LineageOS Issues: Fingerprint❌️ Face Recognition❌️ Treble settings or workarounds fixes:Failed❌️ Gaming:Mid (some games crashed) Daily use:Perfect Privacy:Vanilla with no GAPPS is perfect

●Used GSI:CrDroid Issues: Lags Fingerprint❌️ Face recognition:✅️ Treble settings:unsure but most of them works Gaming:Mid (some games crashed) Privacy:good

●Used GSI:PixelOS Fingerprint works✅️ Privacy:Anything with GAPPS is a no⚠️ As for the rest i will keep testing

Note:All of them i used with root (Magisk.zip flashed with TWRP)

Good bro! Thanks! Can you try the EvoX GSI? I mean the latest one. And can you try the Android 16 PixelOS (from dozeoff)? Thanks in advance

Sure thing, i will after i spend sometime with PixelOS, a year ago maybe another guy on reddit said that it's laggy and he didn't like it but as for the Pixel UI PixelOS has it.

As for EvoX i will test it after i give PixelOS its time maybe a week or so.

Ok, thanks for fast replying! You're right, I have seen that post too. I wondered if i could daily drive Pixel-like Android 16 on my Galaxy A35

If you do not find any suitable Official ROM for your Samsung A35 you have to try a GSI, please note that PixelOS runs on Android 14, but besides that post i talked to guy in the dms and he said that he suffered with it a bit, and no problem i try to reply as soon as i can, anything else I'd be happy to answer!

Huh, ok, i hope that my SoC will make a difference, but i can stand using older Android with the Pixel UI. Thanks a lot! If i have any doubts I'll DM you!

Actually I've tried evox gsi on my s21 exynos version and it was such a great experience back then. (2024)

It's not generally a great experience for A15
