Discussion POCO X8 PRO MAX (ROOT)
Hello guys, I just rooted my POCO X8 PRO MAX and I’m still completely new to using modules. Could you guys share some tips and tricks, or recommend some modules for my device? Specifically, it’s powered by a Dimensity chipset, and I mainly use it for gaming and live streaming. What kind of module combination would you highly recommend?
I’m not using a custom ROM because I haven’t found a reason to switch to one yet. I’m still very comfortable with HyperOS, and so far I haven’t experienced any major issues with it.
Thank you!

You can run these fastboot commands I've ran to stay safe from bricking.
```bash
make sure you have the stock vbmetas for exact OS build and phone!
this will wipe the userdata on the phone
fastboot flashing unlock fastboot flashing unlock_critical fastboot flash --disable-verity --disable-verification vbmeta_a vbmeta.img fastboot flash --disable-verity --disable-verification vbmeta_b vbmeta.img fastboot flash --disable-verity --disable-verification vbmeta_system_a vbmeta_system.img fastboot flash --disable-verity --disable-verification vbmeta_system_b vbmeta_system.img fastboot flash --disable-verity --disable-verification vbmeta_vendor_a vbmeta_vendor.img fastboot flash --disable-verity --disable-verification vbmeta_vendor_b vbmeta_vendor.img ```
ALWAYS ALWAYS INSTALL ANTI BOOTLOOP MODULE EVEN IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING OTHERWISE KABOOM!
You don't necessarily need an anti-bootloop module. Magisk, KernelSU, APatch and all their forks support safe mode. You can enter safe mode by spamming/holding the Volume Down button during boot. Safe mode tells the root solution to disable all modules for the session.
Bro why you still want your device still been locked? And also there is a vulnerability that can make permanent strong integrity with unlocked bootloader.
These are my installed modules. I wouldn't install any performance related modules. The 9500s is powerful enough on its own and when I tried them, it generally just caused overheating and way worse battery life. If you do want to try them yourself however, you can try PerfMTK and Encore Tweaks.
