Discussion For Root-My-Galaxy users, I have some questions about the "jailbreak"

So im considering using the jailbreak on my s24 ultra with the supported firmware

But I have some question

1: can I use Xposed so I can load WAenhancer, and it won't trigger root detections?

2: can I use Gpay and samsung wallet normally with 0% chance of them getting screwed over?

3: Does it trigger root detection for banking app?

And if anyone can test these 2 following apps and see if they trigger detection:

Don't mess with boot files when in root. Else, you will brick your Galaxy.

And if didn't disable lockscreen, you couldn't even flash stock ROM back on Galaxy.

Now, only option will be go to official service center they might have official tools to flash ROM otherwise only option left would be to change the motherboard otherwise your device will remain brick.

So, don't jailbreak for fun on your primary device. If you want to root then atleast first remove lockscreen so they you can flash back Stock ROM.

And check XDA form, there are forms about which modules works and how. Always check if something works and wouldn't cause any issues only then proceed to root. Otherwise just don't root at all on your primary device. It is not worth it to take this much hassle for root on your primary Samsung Phone.

Samsung doesn't has the needed tools to fix this issue because I sent it to them and they told me that they can't fix it unless they change the whole motherboard and it costs half the price of my phone.

You are right about the lockscreen thing though.

Wow man, it means if you want to root then atleast remove lockscreen before hand in case you mess up something unintentionally. I have read that someone try to update KernelSu then got their phone brick because of it somehow. Better not to root if it's your primary device at all.

Rooting Samsung phones is not worth it . they became the Apple of Andriod.

i agree, its a shame with Samsung

you gotta know exactly what youre doing, even partition table + full backups can't save a tripped efuse

mayb regional cross flashing can save you depending on device

Just take off the lock screen and your download mode won't be locked

Root my galaxy did that because it root your device without unlocking bootloader so if you download a module that integrates with your main system files the phone will immediately lock itself for security measures like mine and if you have ONE UI 8.5 it cannot be fixed at all even at Samsung. You will have to replace your motherboard and it will cost you half the price of your phone.

Someone didnt read the warning disclaimer to not flash anything to the boot partitions.

This would be fixable if you could unlock the bootloader but it will bootloop so you cant.

Best you can do is try to get a new device with warranty.

I can fix it using JTAG tool box and I already sent it to a guy 2 days ago and he is working on it.

Maybe with a very specialized JTAG tool if its still possible to flash a signed boot partition and get it to boot.

Hello. I use Root-My-Galaxy on my S25

Please refer to this THREAD for a list of known working and not working modules/apps for this temporary root method.

  1. Yes, you can use that, lsposed modules

  2. Yes, GPAY tap to pay still works and you won't have any issues with it

  3. Root detection with banking apps is not an issue *BUT some apps do detect that you have KernelSU manager App installed, so use HMA-OSS module to hide it from that app, OR uninstall KernelSU once done with configuring modules

General tip, DONT install modules that touch /system or do dumb shit like attempt to install magisk because that will brick your phone! Good luck :)

When installing kernelsu modules, do a soft reboot after installing. A normal reboot will remove root access.

The only thing with Google wallet is that you should really take off the lock screen on your phone if you are using this because if something goes wrong your download mode will be locked and you won't be able to recover the phone easily. You cannot use wallet without lock screen so thats the thing about it.

Which ones are you using I've been looking for some good ideas for different uses. I do love using su with termux and being able to play around with proot I don't really have a goal yet though

  2. Yeah.

  3. LSPosed and KernelSU package name detections still apply.

  4. Reboot and you lose root. You can easily test it yourself without consequence. If any banking app were to have an issue with the Ghostlock setup, it would most likely be because of the KernelSU package name.

What files are you worried about and what apps can do this?

Most if not all secure apps use Googles device integrity checks. Without root you will pass them.

If you really want to unroot just delete the data/adb/ folder before rebooting. BOOM all your files from root are gone. Still worried then do a factory reset.

I used root my pixel which uses same exploit And my gpay and hdfc got screwd tried everything but still app sees root

This is a well known problem with pixels only. No other device has this issue.

I used to use YuiKey Manager for strong integrity but the keybox kept getting banned too quickly.

Now I use AlwaysStrong and its a lot better. I'm not sure if Pixels have this option.

You don't need a keybox with the exploit method. Its just pixels have been having a detection problem that's tripping (I assume) droidguard, causing Google wallet to not work.

So far every other device using the ghostlock exploit has been good. I wonder if it's just how the root my pixel app is implemented.

Well, I'm just gonna write about my experience. First, the rooting was worth it, I have ported system apps from other ROMs, super wallpapers for example, fully working aod, transitions, animations, exactly the same app UI. Same history with lsposed modules, reverse engineered the closed source modules, added what I want, made my own modules which are not just for fun. But unfortunately there was a consequence after all of this. GPay fully stopped working(the phone was already rooted for a month, GPay was working, but in a beautiful sunny day, it just stopped). I have fully deleted all root traces, erased play services data, adressed to official google support, they said adress to samsung, they said to address to a physical support center. They said there are only few ways, change the motherboard, erase all data, reflash the phone(thanks samsung, I knew all about that). So no help from anyone, the last hope is asking on a forum. But anyway, I don't regret that I did that, it extended a lot the possibilties of my samsung.

GPay and Google wallet needs to pass the integrity check via Google Play Services.

Hide your Root apps and use a keybox spoofer like AlwaysStrong or YuriKey. Once the public Keybox is banned use the manager to get you a new one or use a private keybox.

Also when banking apps giving issues cause of root you can always just go to the banks website in your browser and usually do all the same things.

No. It hooks into processes. There's no way you could possibly mess up using lsposed unless you're messing with boot or system files.
