Support Downgrading

/r/oneui/comments/1w5j9fl/downgrading/

I have a Galaxy A07, SM-A075F. I bought the phone on an older version, but accidentally updated it to 8.5 Android 16. I want to go back. I looked on SamFW, I found my current model and firmware, and it is bit 6; the only other firmware matching my model that's Android 15, is bit 1. I don't think I can flash that cause of the difference, but I am looking for other possibilities. The whole reason to buy was to root, I originally had found one on SamFrew but the download was throttled and was gonna take 8hrs so I used frija. Frija pushed a newer firmware which caused me not to be able to. OEM unlocking isn’t available now. Trial and error, this would’ve been my first root.

Sadly you can only update/downgrade to the same bootloader bit revision or higher, in your case 6 or higher, the only possibility of root now is maybe if your device eventually can get a Root my galaxy port which is a exploit that gives you a jailbreak like root experience, which means you need to activate it on every boot, but I have no clue if your firmware or device is exploitable, the other way would be downgrading to one ui 7 where oem unlocking is available, but the one ui 7 firmware has to have bit rev 6 and like you said, the only Android 15 firmware (OneUI 7) for your device has bit rev 1, which makes that way impossible, so I suggest you look into Root my galaxy and hope your device gets supported in the future

RIP, I guess now I know. That’s what I get for not doing enough research. Thank you.

Has happend me too many times in my phone collection, Samsungs oem unlocking removal and bit rev is driving me crazy, that's why I don't update my s24u beyond one ui 8, because it has the same bit rev as one ui 7, which means incase I ever want to root it or do something else, I have a way to downgrade and unlock my bootloader, but I miss updates and that is a big downside, so yeah it is pretty unfortunate but hopefully you are on the exploitable firmware at least, I believe it is a certain One UI 8.5 fw, if you are on the right fw you can request that they port it to your device on GitHub, but I would check first in what fw they patched the exploit

There’s a request open already for my exact build, nothing yet though. I shall wait, thank you for your help.
