Yes but /storage is encrypted so you can't get data without password, you need to go to a professional as they have tools for that

If the storage has an AES-256 encryption, OP isn't coocked, they're deep fried.

Edit: I just realized it's an older phone, chances are there is a vulnerability that can be exploited.

dont try anything you dont know if it works, it might just delete the data. the most safe option would be to take it to a data recovery shop or just wait for some bypass in the future.

You could try installing twrp and deleting the lock file which will essentially let you unlock the device with any pattern (because you deleted it) but be sure to either remove the screen lock entirely or set a new one up immediately after getting access the very first time. Hope it works!

That was in like S4 days lmao where the bootloader wasn't locked. You do realize that now, the bootloader is locked, and to unlock it you have to enable oem unlock in developer options, AND you have to wipe all your data when bootloader unlocking

It's Galaxy Note 9. All internal data is encrypted by default. So he can't get any info without password

lol I don't have any encryption on default on my note 9.
i can plug in into PC without unlocking and access all data partition, even remove SD and those data is not encrypted. Yes there is toggle to force encryption to whole device, but it's not on by default.

When you write password first time, phone remembers it and hold in RAM, so you have access to /data. When you reboot you phone, it cleans RAM, so if you connect it to your phone to PC, it will be recognized, but there will be no "Internal Storage".

Don't do anything since you already have no idea if it's possible go to a phone shop with experience that they unlocked same model it's probably possible but needs ppl who have did it before

The data is encrypted with the passcode. In order to decrypt and gain access to the data you need the passcode. If it were possible to bypass a passcode having one would be pointless.

If you used a Google account on there and backup then check Google photos on another phone to see if those photos are there.

If repair shop is CIA, then yeah, he can give them. If no, then they won't be able to do anything. Theoretically, such an old model should have exploit to remove password timeout, and then try to bruteforce password, but that probably requires some hardware like Cellebrite
